Many organisations are reluctant to use a geographic information system (GIS), even though they know or at least suspect that the geographical relationships are important for their success.
The common GIS technology is complex, the cost of an individual GIS solution seems unaffordable.
We have built and integrated GIS applications for more than 20 years. At some point we realized that our customers want the same thing over and over again.
We then collected these recurring patterns and combined them into a generic construction kit called the GeoTask™ System.
This is now a self-service application generator for your individual data management requirements.
With the GeoTask™ System, GIS deployment becomes easier, more transparent and more cost-effective, even for organizations that have never worked with GIS before. The barriers to entry into GIS are eliminated.
We all love the Pareto principle: Achieve more than 80% of the benefits with less than 20% of the effort.
The GeoTask™ System is just right for handling your spatial and temporal tasks. It covers a wide field of applications:
With the GeoTask™ System, complex applications are created, used and further developed with manageable effort. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.learn more »
Our customers achieve more within a few weeks than others in years of risky developments.
With the configurable solution patterns of the GeoTask™ System, we promise you a rocket launch into the latest generation of integrated geographic information systems.
Costs? According to the 20/80 principle. Ask us, you will be surprised.
GeoTask System is based on a model-driven geodatabase architecture and 15 prefabricated, solution patterns. Applications are generated directly from the description of data and processes.
This means: as soon as you have collected all the data structures and processes you need, your individual Web application with database is ready at the push of a button.
No lengthy, error-prone coding is necessary, not even for complex Smart City Management applications.
The core of our solution design is a Spatial Asset Lifecycle Management concept. It provides information on an object in all its lifespan.
For example infrastructure objects such as roads, lighting, parks, park trees, drainage, public transport facilities or telecommunications networks can be consistently managed in the planning, implementation and operating phase.
Of course, all objects can have a geographical location, if required also several. This helps for simple tracking of mobile objects and for recording the whole history of an object.
The measurement data module helps you keep track of properties that change over time. No observation or measurement is lost. Time series and trends can be quickly found and evaluated.
Systems and solutions based on the GeoTask™ System are set up five times faster than comparable geographical web database applications.
Our customers save 80% of the effort and can start productive use of their Spatial Asset, Environmental or Smart City Management in a few days to weeks.
Data management, Web services and Web applications are configured and generated on a Web administration interface. Thus, nothing needs to be programmed.
With one click of your mouse, the data management application defined by you is generated. You can then upload existing object, GIS and measurement data via web services from any source.
In your organization, all functions are available to authorized persons to edit, evaluate and visualize the data they need to carry out their duties.

The GeoTask™ System is a generic data management and provision system for object and business data with space and time aspects. Typical applications are infrastructure and environmental management. For these tasks, the GeoTask™ System offers approved solution patterns, which can be adapted to the individual needs of the customer without programming. The solution patterns available include the following:
On the basis of the core data model, you define the object types that you need for your application. For each application-specific object type, the GeoTask™ System generates the database structures, Web Transaction Services and Web applications, including control of user authorizations.
Infrastructures usually live longer than the IT systems with which they are managed. Therefore, the data on the infrastructures should also be system-independent.
Cross-system object keys create interoperability "by design" and facilitate mobile offline data entry.
While object structures are the "nouns" of the data model, the relationships represent the "verbs". With freely definable relationships you distribute the roles in the GeoTask™ System and take control of the action in your business processes.
Test series of environmental parameters as well as test data from the operation and maintenance of infrastructures must be available in the long term. In the measurement data management of the GeoTask™ System you define all parameters of your measurement programs. This means that there is no measured value without a unit of measurement, measured quantity or connection to the object on which it was measured.
In the GeoTask™ System, an object can have any number of geometries, even with different geometry types. This allows you to simultaneously manage several planning variants and the actual built state of an object, archive previous states or save routes from GPS recordings.
In object-related action plans, you link objects with activities and resources and commission and monitor the implementation. Through web and mobile access, each team member sees his or her tasks and reports on progress. It has never been easier to keep track of thousands of tasks. The GeoTask™ System gives you the certainty that everything is done in due time.
Condesys Consulting designed and implemented IT architectures for regional and national plant management systems a decade before the ISO-55000 asset management standardization.
We now provide the core functions of Asset Lifecycle Management in the GeoTask™ System as ready-made solution samples for your plants - for self-service.
Attach your documents and URLs directly to the affected object in the GeoTask™ System. No matter whether it's a photo, log or link to a data record in an external web application, you always know where to find your documents - in the GeoTask™ System directly at the object.
Hardly any system can start on a greenfield site these days. Interoperability means connecting all descriptions of your objects in all systems. That is why we provide everything in the GeoTask™ System right from the start to manage references of your objects to data sets in other systems. This makes the GeoTask™ System an interoperability hub in your organization.
The GeoTask™ System was confronted with complex security requirements right from the start. The «Actor» is therefore a predefined object type. It allows user and authorization definitions at all levels of the system, down to the individual object.
User logon can be delegated to external authorization services (Active Directory, Identity Management Server, Office 365 etc.) via standard interfaces (OAuth, LDAP).
All data in the GeoTask™ System are documented by metadata. At any time, it is still possible to understand what a data set means. New employees and administrators get acquainted quickly with your data management treasure.
Freely definable classification trees and keyword lists allow you to structure and order your entity types and measurement programs. And finally: The GeoTask™ System is multilingual throughout.
Data structures, measurement data parameters, application pages etc. are configured with a Web application. The configuration can be exported in whole or in part to an Excel file and re-imported as required.
Data models can also be imported via an XMI interface, the exchange format for UML models. In this way, the widely used UML tool Enterprise Architect can be used to model and transfer the finished model to the GeoTask™ System. There, the corresponding database structures, web services and application components are generated.
A further modelling interface exists to the Swiss exchange standard Interlis. According to the Geoinformation Act, all federal data models must be described in Interlis. An application for a basic geodata set can thus be implemented in the GeoTask™ System within a few hours.
